OB Soft Solutions ("we", "us", or "our") operates the QuietFaith mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the App.
By using QuietFaith you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
When you create an account using Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google, we receive:
- Your name (if provided by the identity provider)
- Your email address
- A unique user identifier issued by Apple or Google
We do not receive or store your Apple ID password or Google password.
1.2 Listening & Usage Data
The App may store the following data locally on your device and optionally sync it to the cloud:
- Devotional and listening session records (start time, end time, audio or story played, timer duration)
- Preferences and reminder settings
- Audio, story, and devotional preferences
- App settings and configuration choices
1.3 AI-Generated Content
When you request a devotional or a personalised story, the App may send a prompt to OpenAI's API to generate content tailored to your selected preferences. The prompt may include:
- Your selected mood, devotional topic, and length preference
- Brief summaries of your recently generated devotionals or stories (to avoid repetition)
No personally identifiable information (name, email, etc.) is sent to OpenAI unless you explicitly include it in your request.
1.4 Health Data
If you grant permission, the App may read step count and activity data from Apple Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android) solely to tailor certain personalised features such as the Personalised Devotional Mode. This data is processed locally and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party unless you explicitly enable cloud sync.
1.5 Location Data
If you grant permission, the App accesses your approximate location solely to retrieve local weather conditions for the Intelligent Sleep Mode. Location data is not stored or shared.
1.6 Device Information
We may collect non-identifying device information such as operating system version and device model for crash reporting and performance improvement purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide core functionality – play ambient sounds, generate sleep stories, schedule bedtime reminders, and track sleep history.
- Personalise your experience – remember your preferences, avoid repeating stories, and adapt the Intelligent Sleep Mode to your context.
- Manage your subscription – verify premium status and process payments through your device's app store.
- Improve the App – diagnose bugs, analyse aggregated usage patterns, and develop new features.
- Communicate with you – respond to support requests and send essential service notifications.
3. Data Storage & Security
3.1 Local Storage
The majority of your data (settings, sleep sessions, cached stories, audio files) is stored locally on your device using encrypted local storage (Hive). This data remains on your device unless you choose to sync it.
3.2 Cloud Sync
If you are signed in, certain data (listening history, devotional cache) may be synced to our cloud database hosted by Supabase (built on PostgreSQL, hosted in the EU/EEA). Data in transit is encrypted via TLS 1.2+ or higher. Data at rest is encrypted using AES-256 where supported.
3.3 Authentication
Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth, which interfaces with Apple and Google identity providers. We store an authentication token locally; your social account passwords are never visible to us.
4. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
- Supabase – Cloud database and authentication. Privacy Policy

- Apple (Sign in with Apple) – Authentication. Privacy Policy
- Google (Sign in with Google) – Authentication. Privacy Policy
- App Store – Subscription billing and payment processing.
- Open-Meteo – Weather data for Intelligent Sleep Mode (no personal data shared).
5. Data Retention
- Local data is retained on your device until you uninstall the App or manually clear it.
- Cloud data is retained while your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated cloud data is permanently deleted within 30 days.
- AI prompts sent to OpenAI are not stored by us after the response is received. OpenAI's data retention policies apply to data processed on their servers.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (including under GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA), you may have the right to:
- Access – Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification – Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Erasure – Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Portability – Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Restrict processing – Request that we limit how we use your data.
- Object – Object to certain types of processing.
- Withdraw consent – Where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time.

California Residents (CCPA)
We do not sell your personal information. You have the right to know what data we collect and to request its deletion. You will not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights.
7. Children's Privacy
QuietFaith is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has submitted data to us, please contact us immediately.
8. Cookies & Tracking
The App does not use cookies, advertising identifiers, or third-party analytics trackers. We do not serve advertisements.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
